I am grateful …
- … for the easy way my wife laughs.
- … for time spent exploring the desert with my girls, finding sedimentary rocks, rabbit spore, and old golf balls.
- … for cherished childhood memories that have grown iconic with age and forgetfulness.
- … for windy, sunny days with titanic clouds full of dignity.
- … that I am not alone.

I am grateful…
- … for time I had this weekend to play with my daughters and reconnect. It’s easy to forget to do.
- … that my wife is feeling a bit better. I missed her typical vivacity.
- … that I’m not drowning under all the math required by my class this semester.
- … for a steady job that provides the necessities of life.
- … that my health allows me to enjoy life.

- I’m thankful that my wife and I have found a way to balance our differing religious beliefs. I have heard about many that haven’t been as fortunate. One thing that helped is the chapter on mixed marriages in Parenting Beyond Belief.
- I am grateful for the warm sunshine on my face as I study outside.
- I am grateful to be alive.
- I am thankful for the time that I’ve been able to spend with my family this long weekend. I had a fun date with my wife and have this holiday to spend a little extra time with my girls.
- I am grateful that we will have a new president tomorrow. I hope that it will represent a real improvement in national leadership.

Today, I’m feeling grateful that…
- I’m not a sex slave. I wonder how much porn features sex slaves.
- I get to take a class this semester on linear systems theory.
- I have a loving family.
- I like the people that I work with.
- I have so much art so readily available to me.
