Violation of Privacy

So I probably just violated someone’s privacy, but it was fun anyway. I got a new extension at work and it came with an existing voicemail box. Among the messages that I listened to as I was deleting them was a message from some hapless student calling her professor last November excusing herself from his class. She had been in a car accident and had a minor concussion. Exactly one week later, she called again with a cough that barely allowed her to talk on the phone. She postulated that “maybe [she] came down with a flu bug or something”. Again she excused herself from class.

It makes me want to never be a professor if it means listening to lame, probably phony excuses.

    I want you to become a professor. They can make a lot of money teaching these hapless students.
    You know I only married you for the money. ;)
