The Phoenix Mars mission has found water ice on Mars!

    Aside from it’s implications for the Great Filter, water on Mars could make it much easier to colonize if we ever decide to do that. (I think we should.) It beats carrying our own water there.

    Colonized Mars??!! What polluting one planet is not enough? :) Well, I’ll go if we find cute Marsians….what? no one lives there? what’s the point?

    Too many of our eggs are in one basket. If some global disaster wipes out all human life on earth, it would be nice to have some spares spread across the universe.
