Shabbat Shalom

pilgrimgirl just posted a photo and poem reflecting on the sabbath outside of the walls of a church. As the resident apostate, I’m at home, cuddling with my youngest who is sick, smelling the fresh air coming through the window, listening to the rhythms of life, enjoying the delicious moment outside of the stultifying confines of church meetings which have largely ceased to inspire me.

Go and have a Shabbat Shalom.

A View from the Outside

Lacey, my wife, has just posted the story of my awakening from her perspective. I truly regret that I caused her pain. At the same time, I’m happy to have been born again. I see some of this pain as the inevitable result of the birth process, so I’m very ambivalent these days.
